… the internet wasn’t out *everywhere* on campus. Nor was the hot water. I realize your situation is quite suck-tastic, but the “no internet” problem could easily be fixed by moseying on over to the library… or Balfour… or anywhere else on campus. The hot water on the other hand? Yeah, that fucking blows. I hope it got fixed so you can at least shower without feeling miserable.

you could also pop over from the wheaton network to the ‘guest’ network on your computer. i did that when i was about to throw my laptop at the wall for running so goddamn slow.

Wheaton only has so much bandwidth, and when so many people are online at the same time, as happens every finals week, it slows everyone down because it just can’t keep up the speed with all of the traffic.

Agreed, so here’s how we catch the laptop thief. What we do is watch for the person who leaves their computer unattended without worrying at all, and BINGO! The person least worried about getting robbed is usually the robber!

Or maybe their funding application didn’t get as much money as they expected or an audit didn’t go their way? During a time when people are trying to define themselves (not only freshman do this) it is people like you that make people feel worthless, with no legitimate reason. And Orpheus, really? You realize that the smell of weed doesn’t necessarily mean that they’ve been smoking in their room. Weed, in and of itself, is a very pungent plant– all the more so when you grind it up. what on earth can you do with a degree in performing arts from WHEATON? the department has like 2 professors and the major is mixed in with dance because there aren’t even enough acting classes offered. taking a couple classes is fine, but a major is pretty ridiculous. explore the field after Wheaton, but don’t waste your money now.
